Acompaña a Luna Cultura a conmemorar el Día de los Pueblos Indígenas.

En este evento los participantes aprenderán y conversarán sobre procesos de Economía Solidaria y Justicia Climática, donde a través de arte, poesía, música y aprendizajes colectivos conectaremos con prácticas ancestrales enfocadas en justicia social y climática. Desayuno y materiales incluidos. Este es un evento familiar, incluyente, y sobrio.

Join Luna Cultura to Celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day.

At this event, participants will learn about Solidarity Economy and Climate Justice, through art, poetry, music, and collective learning, connecting with ancestral practices focused on social and climate justice. Breakfast and supplies are included until last. This is a family-friendly, inclusive, and sober event.

Del YA BASTA de los Zapatistas a la construcción de Alternativas.

Un espacio participativo para honrar la historia, la resiliencia y la construcción de alternativas para el bienestar colectivo. Derechos culturales y colectivos. Diálogos polifónicos para la construcción de alternativas por el bien y el buen vivir.

Tendremos comida, música, arte, ponencias y celebración de la comunidad.

Presenters – Ponentes

Ava Hamilton is an independent documentary producer, historian, and water protector. She is dedicated to the sharing of all knowledge that contributes to the survival of life in a good way.

Sitalin Sanchez (she, her, hers) is a Maseual ceremonial dancer from San Miguel Tzinacapan, Puebla, Mexico. She has been writing poetry since 2019 and was the representative of the indigenous languages’ national Poetry Slam League in 2020.
She holds a BA in graphic design and an MA in communication and social change from the Ibero-American University Puebla. In 2022, she received a specialization degree in Epistemologies of the South. She has worked for Google Latin America, the World Bank, and the Indigenous Government Council from Mexico and her projects have earned the International CLAP Award 2022, the National Design Award 2022, and the 2020 National Dissertation Award. Currently, she is an MTS candidate at Harvard Divinity School, where she’s researching the intersection
of aesthetics, racism, and indigeneity.

Ava Hamilton es una productora de documentales independientes, historiadora y protectora del agua. Se dedica a compartir todo conocimiento que contribuya a la supervivencia de la vida de buena manera.

Sitalin Sanchez (ella) es una bailarina ceremonial indígena de San Miguel Tzinacapan, Puebla, México. Escribe poesía desde 2019 y fue representante de la Liga nacional de Slam Poético de lenguas indígenas en 2020.
Tiene una licenciatura en diseño gráfico y una maestría en comunicación y cambio social de la Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla. En 2022 recibió su título de especialización en Epistemologías del Sur. Ha trabajado para Google Latinoamérica, el Banco Mundial y el Consejo de Gobierno Indígena de México y sus proyectos han obtenido el Premio Internacional CLAP 2022, el Premio Nacional de Diseño 2022 y el Premio Nacional de Tesis 2020. Actualmente, es candidata a MTS en Harvard Divinity School, donde investiga la intersección de estética, racismo e indigeneidad.

Voces Ancestrales por la Madre Tierra-Ancestral Voices for Mother Earth

This is an event of art, culture, oral tradition, and sound. With poetry, music, and indigenous art from the Sierra Norte region of Puebla, the Highlands of Chiapas in Mexico, and Port au Prince in Haiti. It also integrates the art of storytelling, by connecting with ancestral stories through embroidery. The preparation of amaranth “Alegrías”, a mystical ancestral Mesoamerican food, is included for everyone to taste. It is an intercultural event, where mysticism, art, and history interweave narratives for the care of Mother Earth and Resilience. This is a bilingual event.

Este es un evento de arte, cultura, tradición oral y sonido. Con poesía, música y teatro indígena de la región Sierra Norte de Puebla, Los Altos de Chiapas en México, y de Puerto Príncipe en Haití. También integra el arte de contar historias, al conectarse con historias ancestrales a través del bordado. Se incluye para la degustación de todos la elaboración de “Alegrías” de amaranto, alimento místico ancestral mesoamericano. Es un evento intercultural, donde el misticismo, el arte y la historia entrelazan narrativas para el cuidado de la Madre Tierra y la Resiliencia. Este es un evento bilingüe.
