Luna Cultura, Art, Science and Culture for Thriving Communities

Adriana Paola Palacios Luna

Founder of Luna Cultura

I am a Mexican Mestiza woman from Cuetlaxcoapan, the ancestral name of what is now known as Puebla, Mexico. For more than 30 years, I have walked the path of socio-environmental justice, weaving together stories, struggles, and solutions in the service of collective transformation.

My work is rooted in participatory research and guided by frameworks such as Communication for Social Change, Sociology of Culture, Gender Equity, Women and Gender Studies, Human Rights, and Cultural Identity. Through these lenses, I engage in the co-creation of alternatives, using participatory planning as both method and philosophy for social change.

As an artist, I live at the intersection of memory and imagination. I am a poet, storyteller, textile artist, and a joyful explorer in the Maker movement. Each thread of my creative practice reflects a commitment to culture as resistance, art as healing, and learning as a collective act of hope.

Honored by the Boulder Chamber in 2022, as aWoman Who Lights the Community“.
